Late February 2026 | Student exhibition

The two-day exhibition presented 325 student works and welcomed about 400 visitors. It gave students a chance to share work made in regular lessons with family, friends, and the wider community.

March 16, 2026 | Exchange with manga students from Norway

Eighteen students from a Norwegian manga vocational school visited and worked with Horie Art School students. They drew from shared prompts, designed characters from Japanese and Norwegian folktales, and finished with a collaborative artwork.

March 29–30, 2024 | Talk with a professional manga artist

A professional manga artist joined principal Shirin Ito for a special talk during the 12th student exhibition. About 40 people attended to hear directly about making manga and creative work.
